If you haven’t made Valentine’s Day plans yet, now is the time. Yes, I know it’s a little under week away, but the best places book up fast and you won’t want to miss out on some of the Valentine’s Day offers out there. We have some options to impress and satisfy any appetite and all without breaking your budget. Check out the below Valentine’s Day date ideas all located near one of our buildings! Let’s begin by breaking this down to each neighborhood!
3311 N. Clark St.: Mia Francesca’s is on this list because it never disappoints. The food is ALWAYS delicious and so very affordable. You can have a romantic delicious meal without breaking the bank. They’re not offering a pre-fixe Valentine’s Day menu but they will have special menu items like heart shaped ravioli as well as some great drink specials.
4217 N. Ravenswood Ave.: The price on this pre-fixe menu is pretty middle of the road at $40 per person but the food here is so unique that the price feels like a bargain. This restaurant offers authentic South American fare and it is to die for. The Valentine’s Day pre-fixe menu offers plenty of choices even though it’s pre-fixe so you have options. Some of the best looking dishes include a stuffed grilled pepper, risotto cakes (with tiger shrimp and lobster sauce) and a flourless chocolate cake. The restaurant also claims each couple will receive a “special gift from the restaurant.”
1962 N. Halstead: this unique restaurant is sure to impress. They pride themselves on “sharing and pairing” so be prepared to share with your date! Every item on the menu has suggested drink pairings that should not be skipped. A four-course dinner here is $49 per person on Valentine’s Day. A great deal for some amazing food.
2056 N. Lincoln Park West: This restaurant boasts (arguably) the best burgers to be found in this city and a salad bar with over 50 options. We probably already convinced you without even mentioning hand dipped milk shakes and BBQ ribs and pulled pork. As a cherry on top they’re offering $5 glasses of wine for Valentine’s Day.
1030 N. State St.: offering a four-course pre-fixe menu for $29.00 per person, which also includes a cocktail for each person! In addition, you can order the items from the Valentine’s Day menu a la carte and you can even order heart shaped pizzas. Less than $30 a person for a four-course meal and a drink is a steal in this notoriously expensive neighborhood!
The Local Chicago
198 East Delaware Place: if you’ve never tried The Local, then Valentine’s Day is definitely the day. The deal they have is phenomenal. For $65 a couple (yes, a couple!!) you get a pre-fixe menu of: oysters, spinach salad, a surf and turf entrée, chocolate covered strawberries AND a champagne cocktail AND A glass of Benzinger 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon. Yes, all for $65. Make sure to also take a look at our indepth review on Connies Pizza in the Gold Coast!
