Two Great Sandwiches in Chicago

We here at PPM LOVE sandwiches – and we discovered two GREAT ones lately in two GREAT neighborhoods that we had to tell you about!
Who doesn’t love lobster and who thinks you have to go to Maine for a decent lobster roll – you don’t! Head to Da Lobsta @ 12 E. Cedar in the Gold Coast (right around the corner from both 1111 & 1133 N. Dearborn) for a taste of the East Coast in the heart of Chicago!

Da Lobsta

We ordered the ‘Traditional’ lobster roll with tarragon mayo and garlic butter and the ‘Indian’ with cilantro mayo and mango chutney.

The lobster meat in both rolls was delicious, tender and overflowing! The roll is perfectly toasted, seasoned and with a wonderful hint of garlic butter. All I can say is wow! And the service was great too! Look no further if you are in the mood for a little turf. Soooo good!

Lucky’s Sandwich Co.

Next up we stopped by Lucky’s Sandwich Co. in Lakeview @ 3472 N. Clark (right down the street from Wrigley Field and walking distance to many PPM buildings). We first heard of Lucky’s on Travel Channel’s Man Vs Food when the host attempted and succeeded in finishing s giant sandwiches in one sitting.

We had the roast beef and it was huge and delicious!

The roast beef is both flavorful and tender and the concept of the roast beef + fries + cole slaw all within two pieces of french bread works – the flavors blend perfectly.
Two great unforgettable sandwiches right in our neighborhoods – check them out – you will be HAPPY!!!
