Calling all football fans, want to be a part of history? Well then you better get tickets to the Northwestern vs. Illinois game taking place this Saturday afternoon. Why you ask? Well, it will be the first time in nearly 40 years Wrigley Field will host a football game! Yes that is right, football where baseball is normally played. It only took three weeks, a flattened pitcher’s mound, purple Wrigley Field sign, fresh sod, 100 gallons of purple paint, 50 gallons of white paint, and oh yes, lots of padded covered walls! With less than two feet from the end zone, we want to try and keep all players safe. It will definitely be a game not to miss!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIKHej-wUUE&feature=player_embedded
After the game, jump on the red line and head down to North Michigan Avenue. Yes, it is time for the 19th Annual Magnificent Mile Lights Festival! This festival is an all-day event starting at 11am! Starting off the festival will be live music featuring Choo-Choo Soul and Justin Roberts, just to name a few. Oh yes and Mickey and Minnie Mouse will lead the street-lighting of the more than one million bulbs along North Michigan Avenue! All ending with a fireworks display over the Chicago River.
