Many of you may notice the guy pictured in this blog. It’s Jack! Jack Smith, a long-time resident and friend of PPM, has also been a Pilates instructor for over 11 years. Smith is a classically trained instructor who was certified by the New York based Pilates School, training there for a year and a half with Romana Kryzanowska, who was a student of Joseph Pilates himself.
Jack offers one-on-one lessons or duets (you and a friend!), and is currently taking on new clients. We figured we’d ask him a few questions and give him a shout out on our site. That way everyone wins!
Why should people try Pilates? It works! Plus, it’s a fun way to get your body into shape. In the words of Joseph Pilates, “In 10 sessions you’ll feel the difference, in 20 sessions you’ll see the difference, and in 30 sessions you’ll have a new body.”
How did you get involved in teaching Pilates? After hearing about the exercise technique, I tried it out. Pilates put me in the best shape of my life and I wanted to learn more and teach others about it.
What results should clients expect to see? My clients will notice improved strength, flexibility, Improved Posture, decreased back pain by strengthening the core, overall toned body, and Weight loss.
When are you available to book sessions? Mostly Monday thru Thursday mornings, and Wednesday evenings, but his schedule may vary so make sure to call me or shoot me an email!
How much do lessons cost? I typically charge $35 for a one-on-one session, and $25 to each individual if they train as a duet. However, I offer a PPM Resident discount of $30 one-on-one and $20 for duets. As this blog is posted, I will be offering an even steeper discount. The first ten people to contact me will get a single one-on-one session for only $20, and duets for $15 each. Hurry up and call me!
