Our Weekend Event Picks – PPM’s Living in Chicago Blog

The great thing about living in Chicago is that there are always amazing events big and small going on throughout the city every day of the week.  Here are our pick of events that tickled our fancy for the weekend of 3/30.
Clawfest @ Wrightwood Tap (1059 N. Wrightwood) – This Saturday one of our favorite Lincoln Park spots is offering all of the lobster claws you can eat.  The fest goes from 3-6pm.  Delicious!
43rd Annual Chicago’s Biggest Liars Contest (Herdegen-Brieske Funeral Home @ 1356 W. Wellington Ave.) – 10 professional liars compete to see who is the top fabricator of the bunch.  We’re not sure why the event is at a funeral home, but we think that it just adds to the mystique of it all.  Show starts at 8pm on Saturday and cost of admission is $15.
Swing Into Spring @ Navy Pier – From now until April 15th Navy Pier is holding family-friendly spring themed events at the pavillion.  Spring Into Spring runs from 11am to 5:30pm Sunday to Thursday and 6:30pm on Friday and Saturday
Chicago Beer Festival (Union Station) – The name is self-explanatory, but the $40 ticket gets you all of the domestics, microbrews, and imports you can drink.  The fest runs in two sessions, the first from 1-4pm, and the second from 6-9pm.  For a full beer list click HERE.
If you’re looking for a great Chicago apartment (Lincoln Park, Lakeview, and the Gold Coast), book an appointment with us online or call (773) 570-3744.  One of our expert leasing agents will give you a tour of the properties and neighborhoods you’re interested in, or if you cannot be there in person we are happy to walk you through an online tour.
