Our Thoughts On Thanksgiving

Each holiday has its merits.  Each holiday gets the gold star, if you will, in its own category.  Halloween…for being the craziest.  Fourth of July….the loudest.  And, then there’s Thanksgiving.  Overshadowed by Halloween and Christmas, Thanksgiving gets the rap of a second-rate holiday.  But in a way that’s what makes it special.  Thanksgiving has all of the warmth and caring that comes with Christmas, without all of the pressure of finding “just the right gift”.

Here at Planned Property we have so much to be thankful for.  We’re thankful for our amazing residents, who make it a pleasure to serve them.  We’re honored to have such a wonderful staff, each member a joy to work with and an asset to the company.  And we have Chicago, our home, and it is truly where our heart is.  With all we have to be thankful for, we don’t have much left for us to ask Santa for come Christmastime.  But, we’re okay with that.

Only, we did ask for something, but not from Santa.  We asked you.  We asked you to kindly donate any non-perishable food you could spare to help the needy in our Planned Property neighborhoods.  And you’ve delivered.  We, the Lakeview Pantry, and the needy Chicagoans the food will help are so appreciative of your kindness.  Thank you, and happy Thanksgiving.
