Living in Chicago – Lakeview Resident Spotlight – Cole Mellendorf

Lakeview has everything a young professional needs – including great restaurants, stores, activities and bars – all within walking distance.  That’s what Cole told me, and I think it sums it up pretty nicely.
Cole Mellendorf and his dog Buddy are new residents at our 515 W. Briar property in Lakeview.  I recently caught up with Cole, and along with asking him about his neighborhood, asked some of my favorite interview questions.  Here are my questions along with his answers:

What is your favorite word?   I don’t know my favorite word, but I use the word “literally” a lot.  But when I say the word “literally” I actually mean it figuratively.

What is your least favorite word? My least favorite word is “broken”.

What turns you on?  Long hair.

What turns you off?  Girls who are mean to other girls.

What sound do you love? The sound of an acoustic guitar.

What sound do you hate?  Dubstep.  No, I’m kidding, I just said that to be cliché.  What I really hate is silence.  I hate the absence of sound.

What is your favorite curse word?  “Sh*t”, because it’s curse word, but it’s one you can get away with in a lot of situations.

Have you seen our “Sh*t Girls Say” videoActually, I have not.

What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?  I’m actually going back to school for hospitality, tourism, and travel.  I’m really looking to get into the travel industry.

What profession would you not like to do?  Farmer.

If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?  “Wow.  This is epic.”

I also asked Cole what he thought of his apartment and his building.  He told me that he likes how spacious his studio (apartment) is and that there are lots of other dogs in the building for Buddy to play with.  He also said he’s glad he found a comfortable place to call home.
