It all started when owner, Rich Labriola, became a baker. According to the website, “‘The Labriola Baking Company was born in 1993, with Rich, the ‘Chief Dough Boy’ at the helm.’” After studying under masters of French, German, and Italian baking, Rich created his own unique artisan bread. Taking extra care throughout the process, he tested hundreds of ingredients, created unique starters for each bread, and aged his own flour.
Now part of Rich’s Doughboy Restaurant Group, Labriola Cafe offers dinner, brunch, and happy hour. Look for hearty Italian dishes made with care like house-made Neapolitan pizza, imported pasta, and specialty entrees on the menu. We recommend the Salsiccia Signature Artisan pie with garlic cream, smoked Buffalo mozzarella, crumbled sausage, caramelized onions, baby kale, and Calabrian chili.
In addition, the menu offers Chicago thin crust and deep dish pies. You can also choose from a variety of tasty soup and salads. Don’t miss the bottomless mimosas at brunch!
