Halloween is one of my favorite Holidays – not only does it celebrate the best season of the year – it provides us with pumpkin carving. A creative outlet for even those of us who lack an artistic gene, and a chance to laugh with friends.
Believe it or not the city has quite a few options for getting your pumpkin carving in before Halloween. We can’t wait to see what you come up with – be sure to send us pictures of your jack-o-lanterns!

• Pumpkin Carving Party at Division Ale House (1942 W. Division St.) Thursday October 24th at 8pm. With drink & food specials, prizes and giveaways, and FREE pumpkins!
• Pumpkin Carving Party at Schoolyard Tavern (3528 N. Southport) Thursday October 17th 5pm to 10pm. With drink specials, a $50 prize to the best pumpkin (FREE pumpkins & supplies)!
• Pumpkin Carving Party at McGee’s Tavern (950 W. Webster Ave) Wednesday October 23rd Family carving from 3pm to 6pm. Adult carving starting at 6pm. FREE pumpkins, cash prizes, and drink specials!
And since Halloween is clearly more than just pumpkin carving, here are some other great Halloween events taking place throughout the city in October:

• Franken Plaza (Daley Plaza): You may have noticed that the fountain at the Daley Plaza is currently Halloween Orange, that’s not all that’s going on at the Plaza this Halloween Season: Friday October 25th noon to 7pm, Saturday October 26th 11am to 6pm, and Sunday October 27th 11am to 6pm. Crafts, a circus, a scary move screening, Monster Bash, hayrides, trick or treating and a circus.
