4th of July Fireworks Chicago 2017

Chicago summers bring out the best in the city, from fests, to concerts and of course amazing rooftop bars, you won’t find a shortage of things to do this 2017. As for July, we get excited not only for the Taste of Chicago but also the Fourth of July. Many of you will be gearing up your BBQ’s and getting ready for some great outdoor parties.

Though what makes the Fourth of July so special is the amazing fireworks displays that span the Chicagoland area. There is a lot, we mean a lot of places you can spot them. So we put together a list of our top FIVE areas to see the best fireworks in and around Chicago. Let’s go ahead and take a look!

Navy Pier

When the city canceled its fireworks a few years ago, this left only one place downtown were you can see a fireworks show. We’re talking about Navy Pier, and don’t let this fool, this is a real Fourth of July fireworks show which is beefed up presentation then there usual Wednesday/Saturday display. Time: 9:30pm.

Itasca

Itasca takes fireworks shows to the next level! So you can expect a grand display of color in the sky. You can see their fireworks at Hamilton Lakes Office Campus. Time: 9:45pm.

Evanston

Evanston is going to be your second closest showing of fireworks outside of Navy Pier. You can catch the display at Clark Street Beach. This gives you some beach action all along the lakefront to view the show! Time: 9:30pm.

Lake Forest Festival and Fireworks

Music, drinks, and fireworks what more can you ask for?! Rock singer Lou Gramm headlines this year’s fireworks festival. Once the music stops at 9:40pm you will be bombarded by a huge fireworks display. Check it out at Deerpath Community Park!

Glen Ellyn

For those venturing out to the west suburbs, look no further then Glen Ellyn. With a parade at noon, carnival and games from 1-4pm.  All concludes with fireworks at dusk. Check it out at Lake Ellyn Park!
