Whether you’re hosting an intimate group of friends or having a large gathering for the holidays, one detail you don’t want to miss is setting your table with style!
With some simple steps, you can create a beautiful holiday centerpiece that won’t break your bank and will leave your guests impressed!
We recently were preparing for our annual holiday party and while the venue was spectacular, the thought of having drab tables had us thinking of a quick solution to make the entire room [including the tables!] feel festive and beautiful.
So, we wandered into Pottery Barn on Sheffield Avenue in Chicago to get some design inspiration, and quickly knew we were in the right place. In less than one hour, we were able to come up with three different but unified looks for our holiday party.
Design Concept 1: The Christmas Tree
We loved Pottery Barn’s metal Christmas tree and knew we would be able to transform it into a beautifully decorated delight!
We selected assorted colored glass ornaments that matched our color scheme and artfully arranged them along the branches of the tree.
One touch we love to add to our holiday centerpieces is holiday-colored Hershey Kisses. Adding them to the base of the tree made the centerpiece a bit more interactive [if you can catch our drift!]. We also added a few glitter stars and pinecones to bring it all together. Perfection!
Design Concept 2: Illuminated Mercury Glass Trees
Pottery Barn’s mercury glass Christmas trees may be the most beautiful trees we’ve seen this season — and trust us, we spent a lot of time looking! We got trees in varying sizes and came up with the idea of illuminating them from the inside with battery-powered LED lights.
We stuffed the LED lights inside of the trees and arranged them on a festive red placement along with some beautiful holiday red mercury votive candle holders. We used flameless LED Tealight candles to save on having any messy wax spills.
We completed the look by adding some glitter stars, pinecones, and of course … Hershey’s Kisses! The Christmas trees sparkled giving the room a warm, holiday glow!
Design Concept 3: Holiday Lanterns
The holidays are definitely a season of light, and Pottery Barn has many great lanterns of all shapes, sizes, and styles. With so many to choose from…
…we finally selected the Malta Lantern with a beautiful silver finish. By adding a few special touches to the lanterns, we made them a real standout!
We nestled a large pillar candle inside of each lantern surrounded by some artificial snowflakes.
We then added some greenery at the base of each lantern and placed them on our tables surrounded by two mercury glass trees illuminated by LED lights, some pinecones, more glitter starts, and of course more Hershey Kisses.
Each of these unique looks involved a little creativity and a few simple steps to make breath-taking centerpieces. You can see the end results…
Thanks to Pottery Barn for their inspiration! And from all of us at Planned Property Management — Happy Holidays!
