New year, new home design trends. Now that we’ve reached the end of 2020 (thankfully), it’s time to look ahead to the trends we can expect to see over the coming months. We did the research and rounded up a few of our favorite 2021 home design trends. Check them out below.
Nature-Inspired
2020 was a year spent at home, so it makes sense that nature-inspired will trend in 2021. House plants aren’t new, but you’ll most likely see them continue to trend into next year along with plant-themed pattern and botanical details.
Earth Tones
Similarly to nature-inspired designs, earth tones will be having a moment in 2021. Muted shades of green, beige, and grey are trending for everything from throw pillows to rugs to bedspreads.
1970s
According to Architectural Digest, the 1970s will be a major source of home decor inspiration in 2021. Think florals, fringe, and boho deals. You can also expect to see fun retro statement pieces.
Squiggly Lines
Squiggly lines are and modern designs in vibrant, eye-catching colors are already popping up on home decor goods, and experts expect the trend to grow significantly. We can’t wait to score accent items with fun, aesthetically pleasing shapes.
