The great thing about living in the Gold Coast and River North is not just the countless PPM buildings, such as 750 N. Rush or 1133 N. Dearborn, but their neighborhoods. You get nightlife, your steps to the lake, transportation to anywhere in the city. But best of all is the restaurants and dining options you have outside your front door. That’s right Chicago has the best of the best when it comes to dinning out be it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner our neighborhoods have got you covered.
What else is so unique living downtown is that you have a wide variety of settings to enjoy your meal. From a pub built in the 20’s to a fabulous roof deck place and outdoor patios. Yet for today we found something even more unique and that is eating right on the river. You guessed it, we checked out River Roast right on LaSalle on the River Walk. You of course can eat inside but why do that when you can eat outside on the river and watch the boats go by. Not to mention the food is outstanding, so let’s go ahead and get into the eats!
To start we had the assortment of house pickles.
Shrimp & Crab Toast
It’s exactly what you expect and has a dash of Avocado.
Smoked Pork, Ham, Housemade Chorizo, Chihuahua, Pickle, Horseradish Sauce, Ciabatta.
Stout Beer Battered Pollack, Tartar Sauce, Bibb lettuce, Tomato, Hoagie Bun.
Fennel, Radish, Carrot, Mushroom, Baby Artichoke, Parmesan, Lemon Vinaigrette.
River Roast is a must try if you’re looking for a great meal and of course a great view of the lake. It’s worth a look! For more information make sure to check out River Roast.
